Videographer Wanted

We're looking for a videographer for three different, but related projects. This is a payment-deferred project. We'll cover all related expenses, but we can't pay you until we have a finished product. The projects involve filming infrequently for about eight weeks (from late August through the end of October), plus however it takes you to put together the DVDs. There's also the possibility of ongoing work at our regular nightclub nights.

We are hoping to settle on a videographer before August 5. Production begins the last week in August.

We're looking for someone to capture the making of our newest show, "Out for Blood". Key dates are:

• August 28: Auditions (Central Sq., Cambridge)
• Sept. 15: Show at Axis Nightclub in Boston
• Sept. 18: Show at Arts Central (Central Sq., Cambridge)
• (roughly) Oct. 15 to Oct. 29: Rehearsals & performances of "Out for Blood" (Central Sq., Cambridge)

You'll shoot candids, talk to the principals, and film the shows, to produce 3 products:

1) A ~10 minute "commercial" for agents this is something we can send to booking agents around the country (it's cheaper than sending them one of the Babydolls, and we don't mind as much when we don't get it back). This is made up of clips from rehearsals, performances at Axis, and performances at other venues. It's a 10 minute commercial showing why someone should hire The Boston Babydolls.

2) "Out for Blood" DVD You'll need to film the auditions (one day, Aug. 28), interview the performers during the rehearsal process and at other times, and film all six evening performances (Oct. 21 & 22, 26-29). Edit the footage of the performance into one seamless film of the show; add the other material as "speacial features" to produce a commercially saleable DVD.

3) Babydoll T.V. This is the most ambitious part. Film everything and then some (auditions and shows, as well as interviews with principals, as well as candid footage of participants) to create enough usueable material for 13 episodes of a 60-minute T.V. show in the style of Bravo's "Blow Out" or "The Restaurant".

Send us anything you think we need to know about you: contact info, samples, references, etc. We'll seriously review everyone who contacts us. Payment must wait until we have a saleable product, but we'll cover reasonable related expenses. This is a great opportunity for a student or someone just starting out. The Boston Babydolls is the creation of a team with over 20 years in local nightlife. We have several shows and promotional appearances already scheduled.
