A Burlesque Benefit with Good Taste
Monday, February 5, 2007 @ 7 p.m.
The Boston Babydolls are delighted to partner with The Coolidge Corner Theatre and Finale Desserts to present and event with good taste — that tastes good too!
We begin our evening at The Coolidge Corner Theatre with Boston historian David Kruh and a lecture and slide show on The Old Howard, Boston's most significant burlesque hall.
Following the lecture, we'll be airing the 1943 film noir classic Lady of Burlesque. The film was based on the novel The G-String Murders by Gypsy Rose Lee, possibly the most famous 'lady of burlesque'. Then The Boston Babydolls take the stage to give you a little taste of heaven, right in Brookline.
After The Boston Babydolls, at 9:30 p.m., we move around the corner to Finale (1306 Beacon Street) for a buffet of tempting treats.
Tickets are available for the lecture, film, and show for $12, for just the party at Finale for $30, or for both ($36).
